
In the Lviv region, rescuers are actively mitigating the aftermath of severe weather that caused rivers to overflow their banks.
Due to significant rainfall in the Lviv region, the rivers Shchyrka and Zubra overflowed in the Lviv district. As a result, there was flooding in the city of Lviv and in 11 territorial communities of the region, including Kamianka-Buzka, Hlynyanska, Davydivska, Zymnovodivska, Obroshynska, Pustomytivska, Brodivska, Chervonohradska, Sokilnytska, Solonkovska, and Shchyretska communities.
As of 08:00 on July 11, the fire and rescue units of the Lviv region carried out 56 deployments to address the aftermath of the severe weather, pumping 9,639 cubic meters of water. Additionally, rescuers saved 8 individuals, including 5 children, from flooded houses.
A total of 179 rescuers and 49 units of special equipment were involved in the recovery efforts. They also utilized 21 motor pumps for water removal.
