Rescuers in Lviv Region Combat Aftermath of Bad Weather

In the Lviv region, rescuers are actively working to eliminate the consequences of bad weather.

On the night of July 10th, intense rainfall caused the rivers Shchyrka and Zubra to overflow their banks. **The rise in water level** led to the flooding of streets, residential buildings, and vehicles in the villages of Sknyliv, Zubra, and Sokolnyky. The ‘Lviv – Pustomyty – Medenychi’ road is partially flooded.

In Sknyliv village, rescuers saved four people, including two children. Two dogs were also rescued. Additionally, fire-rescue units are pumping water from the power substation area using motor pumps.

38 rescuers and 7 units of special equipment have been involved in eliminating the effects of the bad weather.
