Fires in Ecosystems: A Threat to Nature and People

During the past day, rescuers received 21 calls due to fires in ecosystems.

“Despite constant warnings, people continue to burn dry vegetation and garbage both on their homesteads and in fields,” rescuers report.

It’s not just smoke — it’s a large-scale threat: fire spreads instantly, it leaps to forest areas, peat catches fire, and residential buildings suffer. In just one day, more than 1.5 hectares of land burned.

Setting dry grass on fire is not a way to ‘clean up’, but a path to disaster. Fire does not discriminate who is to blame — it destroys everything in its path.
