Traffic signs 3.34 and 3.35 have different meanings that are important to understand.
Sign 3.34 “No Stopping” prohibits any stopping of a vehicle except for an emergency stop. Even brief stops for passenger pick-up/drop-off or loading goods are prohibited. The zone of effect extends from the place of installation to the nearest intersection or the “Cancellation of All Restrictions” sign.
Sign 3.35 “No Parking” only prohibits parking, which means stopping for more than 5 minutes or without the driver in the vehicle. Brief stops for passenger pick-up/drop-off or loading operations are permitted. The effect also extends to the nearest intersection or sign cancellation.
Both signs do not apply to emergency service vehicles on duty or vehicles forced to stop due to unavoidable circumstances. Violating the requirements of signs 3.34 or 3.35 results in administrative responsibility — a fine of 340 UAH. Complying with stopping and parking restrictions is not just about the law, but also about the safety of other road users.
