It is important to follow safety rules: “If possible, stay at home – do not be outside without need,” experts emphasize. Avoid trees, billboards, poles, and power lines, as these can be dangerous during a thunderstorm. Stay as far away from bodies of water as possible. Do not shelter from the rain under trees, as lightning often strikes there. Do not park cars under trees, old structures, or advertising boards.
