On July 27, rescuers from the Sheptytskyi Rescue Station discovered the body of a local resident, born in 1974, during a scheduled inspection of the Western Bug River in the town of Sheptytskyi.
The man had been reported missing since July 21 and was officially listed as a missing person. After the discovery, the body was brought ashore and handed over to the National Police for further investigation.
The exact circumstances of his death are currently under investigation.
