In a community in Lviv Oblast, settlers woven more than 125 camouflage nets

From the first days of the war, the Drohobych community has been actively working to support internally displaced persons and military personnel in need of assistance. The community devotes a lot of time to coordinating the efforts of residents and guests of the city in their desire to help.

So, in the People’s House named after Ivan Franko, city residents and internally displaced persons are actively involved in weaving necessary equipment for soldiers. This is reported in the regional office of “U-LEAD with Europe” in the Lviv region.

To this day, settlers are actively involved in weaving camouflage nets. As reported in the community, the settlers have already woven more than 125 camouflage nets and 15 military kikimores. They provided soldiers with them, as well as units based on the territory of the Drohobych community. As a sign of gratitude for their hard work, Andriy Kovch, Deputy Mayor of Drohobych, handed over packages of humanitarian aid to forcibly displaced people.

Also, in the Drohobytsk community, work continues on the formation of a housing fund for internally displaced persons.

“To this end, available resources have been accumulated and work has begun in several directions: the existing dormitories are being renovated and transferred to communal ownership, as well as the construction of the first modular frame houses, which in the future should become a component of a separate microdistrict for displaced people. The Department of Urban Economy of the Drohobytsk City Council created a rating list of internally displaced persons who claim to receive temporary housing in the Drohobytsk community. The queue is updated every week, according to the receipt of new applications from IDPs,” says the message on the community’s website.
