Photo traps have been installed in the Lviv community to combat littering.
Photo traps are actively used in the settlements of the Lviv community to identify offenders who dump waste in unauthorized places. The Office of Agglomeration and Community Development regularly updates the equipment as they see real results from the operation of these means of video surveillance.
Recently, in Dublyany, a violator was identified with the help of a photo trap. A local resident, after being presented with evidence, cleaned up all the garbage. In Malechiv, a photo trap is operating at the site of a cleared illegal dump. The residents are aware of its existence, but the device is not removed.
“We understand that the presence of a photo trap serves as a strong deterrent for residents not to bring new waste to this place,” say officials at the community office in Malechiv.
