According to Olena Gunko, Head of the IT Department of the Lviv City Council, together with the Department for Emergencies, Civil Protection and Territorial Defense in the city, they are improving and expanding the network of sirens.
“These days, new equipment is being installed, integrated with a centralized automated system. In particular, alerts have been intensified in the districts of Ryasne-1, Ryasne-2, Levandivka, and in the Sykhiv district on Ternopilska, Sykhivska, and Haseka streets. At several points along Kulparkivska Street and on Medova Pechera Street, ”Olena Gunko said.
Additional equipment is also being installed in the settlements of the Lviv City Territorial Community.
We will remind, street sirens are first of all focused on providing the notification on the street, and therefore in the apartment the sound can be insufficient: because of plastic windows, feature of building, landscape and so on.
If you hear siren sounds, loudspeaker sounds that last for several minutes, it means the warning “ATTENTION TO EVERYONE”. Upon hearing it, it is necessary to immediately turn on the TV channels “First Western”, “PravdaTUT Lviv” and NTA or radio “First” in the FM band 88.2 MHz, radio “Lvivska Khvylia” in the FM band 100.8 MHz, radio “Lux” in the FM band 104.7 MHz, Vgolos radio in the 107.2 MHz FM band or Independence radio in the 106.7 MHz FM band.
