A Large Number of Fires in the Lviv Community Over Six Months

In the first half of 2025, 100 large fires were recorded in the Lviv community, caused by the burning of dry vegetation and peatlands.

The city council and rescuers urge residents to be cautious, not to increase the burden on rescue services during wartime. In the city, there were 177 fires, with large outbreaks accounting for a significant portion.

The most large-scale fires occurred in the city of Dublyany (10,000 sq.m), the village of Sytykhiv (6,000 sq.m), and on Plastova Street (5,300 sq.m). A fire in the village of Pidbirky injured a man who received burns.

Citizens are urged to remember the danger of burning grass to the environment and people’s health. Fines for such actions can reach up to 21,420 UAH for officials.
