At the Lviv Forest Selection and Seed Center, Polish foresters handed over 16 off-road vehicles to the Armed Forces

As part of the “1,000 cars of freedom” initiative of the head of the Lviv OVA, Maksym Kozytskyi, Polish foresters handed over 16 SUVs to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As Maksym Kozytskyi said, this is already the third tranche of cars from Polish foresters.

“We are handing over the third batch of off-road vehicles from Polish foresters for our defenders. There are 38 cars in total.

These 16 vehicles will help our soldiers on missions, during the transportation of the wounded, during the delivery of food to people in the epicenters of hostilities. And they will help our boys and girls destroy enemies faster and more efficiently.

Thanks for these off-road vehicles to the Polish foresters, as well as to the entire Polish people. Since the beginning of the full-scale war and throughout every day, Ukraine receives enormous help from you, both in solving basic issues related to humanitarian aid, in relation to the shelter of our people, and in matters of the European future of our state,” said the head of the Lviv OVA.

These vehicles will go to combat units on the front line, including two brigades of the Teroborona of the Lviv region. All cars of different brands, four-wheel drive, pickup trucks are the kind that the military needs most. This was announced by the head of the Lviv Regional Department of Forestry and Hunting, Anatoliy Deineka

“For decades, we have developed excellent friendly working relations with our Polish colleagues, we exchange experience. They offered help already on the first day of the full-scale war – first they provided medicines, food, clothes, which we handed over to the humanitarian headquarters and defenders. Then, when our military approached us with the need for off-road vehicles, I asked the Director General of the National Forests of Poland, Jozef Kubica, to help us with the vehicles that are used by the Polish Forestry and they responded to our request. Today, the car will be taken to the relevant military units,” said Anatoly Deineka.

He also added that Polish foresters handed over 6 fire modules, which are used to extinguish fires in eco-systems. These modules will be sent to the southern and eastern regions of Ukraine.

The rector of the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in the village consecrated the car on its way. Bryukhovychi Fr. Peter Salagub.

For reference:

Already in the first days of the war, meetings of Polish and Lviv foresters took place on the Ukrainian-Polish border and aid was transferred from Polish foresters. In total, 35 thermal imagers and 38 all-terrain vehicles have already been provided to the appeal of the Lviv OULMG for the defenders of Ukraine. For the needs of forest protection, which are part of the Teroboron and mobilized to the Armed Forces, 1,300 “assistance backpacks” were handed over.
