
A fire occurred in a five-story building in Lviv, where rescuers saved a man.
On November 19 at 18:45, the Rescue Service ‘101’ received a report about a fire on Dniprovskaya Street. The fire broke out in an apartment of the five-story residential building. By the time rescuers arrived, thick smoke was billowing out of the apartment’s windows on the fourth floor.
Since the doors were locked, the firefighters accessed the interior by ladder. During the reconnaissance of the smoke-filled premises, the rescuers discovered a man, whom they carried to fresh air and handed over to medics. The victim was identified as the owner of the apartment, a man born in 1969. After examination, medics hospitalized the man to a medical facility.
At 18:55, firefighters localized the fire and at 19:10, extinguished the domestic items. The extinguishing involved 10 rescuers and 3 units of special equipment.
