On November 15, after mass shelling by the enemy of critical infrastructure facilities in the region, traffic lights did not work in Lviv due to the lack of electricity. The drivers showed great tact and respect while driving the car. Instead, it became obvious that pedestrians should at least turn on their flashlights, because they may not be visible on the roads.
“Yesterday (November 15) it was nice to see that at most intersections, where the traffic lights were not working and there were no regulators, drivers showed respect for each other. Many thanks to all road users! However, there is a request for pedestrians. Dear residents, if you go outside in the dark, where there is no lighting, turn on the flashlight on your phone or wear something reflective. Emergency vehicles, military or someone else may be driving by, and they simply won’t see you. We have to take care of each other as much as possible”, – emphasized Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy.
The mayor also urged residents to remember the need to stock up on water at home, have flashlights, power banks, and warm clothes, as attacks on critical objects may continue.
