On 14 September, Lviv hosted its third charity boxing evening to raise funds to support the Ukrainian Defence Forces. The event was organised by KAVA Charitable Foundation and K.O. Promotions with the assistance of the Head of Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi.
The event brought together a full house of spectators who came to watch professional boxers from Ukraine, Moldova, Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic. Among the spectators were also eminent boxing veterans from Lviv region.
Children from Chervonohrad, who are involved in sports clubs, also had the opportunity to attend the event with their coaches.
Traditionally, Orest Kavetskyi, the KAVA Charitable Foundation and the Miner’s Office made sure that young athletes received a positive emotional charge for further growth and achievement of good sports results. Therefore, they once again organised such an opportunity, providing tickets to the event and transport so that the children could communicate with professional athletes and experience a real sports spectacle of this level.
The children watched the boxers’ fights with enthusiasm, cheered and discussed the technical subtleties demonstrated by the athletes in the ring.
An auction was held during the Boxing Charity Evening. The amount of donations raised from the sale of lots amounted to 1.4 million riyals. The funds will be used to purchase another batch of drones as part of the Birds of Victory charity project, and part of the money will be used for other urgent needs of the military.
The event was also attended by the combat brigades, for which Orest Kavetsky and the KAVA Charitable Foundation are constantly organising assistance. Commanders and comrades-in-arms expressed their gratitude for the efforts made in such a difficult time, and Orest and Khrystyna Kavetsky were awarded with badges.
The organisers of the Boxing Charity Evening called on people to remember the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to thank them for defending their native Ukraine, and to keep donating to support the fight against the enemy.
