On September 12 at 03:37, the Rescue Service received a report about a fire on Mazepy Street. The fire engulfed the second floor of a three-story brick building. By the time firefighters arrived, the fire had already been extinguished with extinguishers.
During the reconnaissance in the room where the fire started, the body of a deceased man born in 1950 was discovered. From the smoke-filled premises, rescuers saved four individuals using special devices, and seven more were led to fresh air without the use of rescue equipment.
A total of 21 rescuers and five units of special equipment were involved in dealing with the aftermath of the incident. The causes and circumstances of the fire are being established.
