Gas Explosion in Lviv: Electricity and Gas Supply Restored

In the Lviv building where a gas explosion occurred, electricity and gas supply have been restored. All broken windows are covered with film.

Yesterday evening, an explosion occurred in apartment No. 32 on Sirko Street, 21. Firefighters and utility services arrived at the scene. The apartment resident suffered burns and is in the intensive care unit of St. Luke’s Hospital.

Electricity and gas supply were suspended due to significant damage to the building’s facade and broken windows of neighboring apartments.

‘In the apartment where the explosion’s epicenter was, cracks appeared. Preliminary findings suggest these are not load-bearing walls, but inter-room partitions.’ — reported Andriy Moskalenko.

Utility services have already covered all broken windows with film. Electricity and gas supply have been restored for the entire building, except for apartment No. 32.
