A presentation of drones and electronic warfare equipment, already tested on the front lines, took place in Lviv.
Acting head of the Lviv Regional Council, Yuriy Kholod, emphasized the importance of financial support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and preparing citizens for national resistance. “We plan to assist in organizing the collection of drones and training the population on how to properly operate them. The Law of Ukraine provides for preparing the population for national resistance. Therefore, we are strengthening our muscles to resist the enemy as effectively as possible,” noted Yuriy Kholod.
Head of the Regional Council’s commission on law enforcement, anti-corruption activities, and military formations, Nazarii Sumalo, highlighted the need for such an initiative. “Our commission is constantly approached by the military with needs for drones and electronic warfare equipment. There are also requests from manufacturers — one of them presented their products, including drones for combat missions at the front and interceptor drones capable of countering enemy ‘shahed’ drones. We consider it appropriate to establish cooperation between local government bodies, municipal enterprises, and drone manufacturers. Currently, legal procedures are underway to start work,” noted Nazarii Sumalo.
