
Ukraine was shaken by the news of the brutal murder of Andriy Parubiy, which took place on August 30 in Lviv.
The victim died at the scene from sustained injuries. He is survived by his wife and daughter. Today in Lviv, a farewell ceremony is taking place, which will begin at St. George’s Cathedral at 12:00.
The leadership of the city of Drohobych expressed condolences to the family and friends. They stated: \”We mourn with you, supporting you in these hours of grief.\”
Andriy Parubiy was an active participant in the Orange Revolution and the Revolution of Dignity. He chaired the Ukrainian parliament from 2016 to 2019 and was a deputy in the Verkhovna Rada for four terms.
