In Lviv, mountain rescue specialists carried out a dramatic emergency operation to assist an elderly woman who was unable to open the door for paramedics due to a sudden health issue.
The incident occurred when emergency medical personnel were called to the woman’s apartment but couldn’t gain access because she was unable to respond. Concerned for her safety, the Lviv Mountain Rescue Unit of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine was dispatched to assist.
Using mountaineering equipment, the rescuers descended from the rooftop onto the balcony of the apartment, entered the premises, and opened the door for medics. Their swift and coordinated response ensured the woman received the urgent care she needed in time.
Thanks to the rescuers’ professionalism, the situation was handled quickly and safely.
