A man who organized illegal border crossing will be tried in Lviv.
For 12,000 euros, a 38-year-old resident of the Lviv district created fake documents for a man of conscription age. These documents stated that he was a ‘member of a musical band,’ which allowed the man to leave the country without hindrance during martial law.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings has been completed. The indictment has been sent to court for consideration. The article’s sanction provides for imprisonment from seven to nine years. It also includes the deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years with confiscation of property.
The perpetrator was exposed by investigators from the department of investigation of especially serious crimes of the Lviv police. This was in cooperation with officers from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region, under the procedural guidance of the Specialized Defense Prosecutor’s Office of the Western region.
