A dangerous artifact from World War I has been discovered in Lviv.
Yesterday afternoon, sappers from the Mobile Rapid Response Rescue Center ‘Lviv’ of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were operating on Lyudkevych Street in Lviv. In the morning, rescuers received a report that workers, during earthworks, had noticed a suspicious object resembling a munition in the soil.
It was established that a German hand grenade from World War I was lying in the ground. **The most dangerous** thing was that the find was only a few meters away from the road and residential buildings.
Experts from the State Emergency Service removed the outdated explosive item and destroyed it in accordance with regulations.
Remember: munitions do not age — they merely await carelessness.
