A tragic fire occurred in the Sheptytskyi district this morning, resulting in the death of a 64-year-old man.
Today, May 12, at 06:32, a report was received about a fire in a residential building in the village of Konotopy, Sheptytskyi district. Upon arrival, firefighters found thick smoke coming from the roof. The fire had engulfed the wooden roof structure and hay stored in the attic, causing heavy smoke and the rapid spread of flames.
By 07:54, firefighters had localized the fire and extinguished it by 08:46. During the firefighting, the body of the 64-year-old homeowner was discovered in one of the rooms. The fire extinguishing effort involved 8 rescuers and 2 units of special equipment. Experts are currently investigating the causes of the fire.
