In this way, the man intended to organize a channel for the illegal transportation of conscript men outside the checkpoints.
In order to “solve” the issue of illegally crossing the state border, the man offered the border guard of the “Smilnytsia” department of the Lviv detachment an illegal benefit in the amount of 1,300 Polish zlotys (about 10,500 hryvnias), to which he was categorically refused.
During urgent investigative actions, within the framework of criminal proceedings under Art. Art. 369 and 332 of the Criminal Code, an attempt to illegally cross the state border and the fact of providing an illegal benefit to a border guard were documented by a joint interdepartmental group consisting of officers of the Border Police of the Lviv Border Detachment of the Border Guard of the Border Patrol “Zahid”, investigators of the investigative department of the State Police of Lviv Oblast, under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the Military and Defense sphere of the Western region.
The perpetrator was detained by law enforcement officers in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine. Investigations are ongoing.
