On December 15, rescue personnel from the Sheptytske Rescue Station inspected the waters of the Western Bug River in the town of Sheptytske. The search operation was carried out at the request of the Sheptytske District Police Department of the National Police in Lviv region.
The search focused on locating a local resident, P.F. Sidliar, born in 1962, who went missing on December 13. According to preliminary reports, he had headed toward the Western Bug River and never returned home.
Despite conducting underwater search operations, the man’s body has not been found. Search efforts are ongoing.
