The Sokal City Council, local deputies, community leaders, and the executive committee express their heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of Volodymyr Yosypovych Sava, the head of the Khorobriv Starosta District, who passed away prematurely.
At the age of 63, after a prolonged illness, the heart of a respected and dedicated community leader stopped beating. Volodymyr Sava devoted nearly 20 years to public service and significantly contributed to the development of the villages of Khorobriv, Uhryniv, Nysmychi, and Nynovychi.
Born on September 12, 1962, in Chervonohrad, he moved with his family to the village of Nynovychi in 1964. He studied at Khorobriv Secondary School, served in the military, and later graduated from the Lviv Zoo-Veterinary Institute. Throughout his career, he held various positions, including pig complex manager, chief livestock technician, and farm manager at PAF “Uhryniv.”
Life tested Volodymyr Yosypovych harshly — he became a widower at a young age and raised two children alone. Despite these personal hardships, he committed himself to serving his community. From 2006, he was elected Khorobriv village head three times, and since February 2021, he served as the starosta of the four-village district.
For almost two decades, he performed his duties with honesty and integrity. Known for his compassion and professionalism, he was always ready to help those who turned to him. His unwavering dedication to his native villages remains an inspiration for future generations.
Unfortunately, many of his plans remained unfulfilled. Still, the positive impact of his actions will be remembered by the community for years to come.
The Sokal City Council extends its deepest sympathies to his daughter Iryna, son Andrii, grandchildren Khrystyna, Denys, Demian, and Dmytryk, and to all family and friends.
May the memory of Volodymyr Sava live on in the hearts of all who knew, respected, and loved him. May the Lord grant his soul eternal peace.
