A fire occurred in the village of Velykyi Liubin in the Lviv district due to an electric scooter on charge.
On August 24 at 22:17, rescuers received a report about a fire. The ignition likely originated from an electric scooter that was charging in the summer kitchen. By the time firefighters arrived at the scene, the vehicle was already engulfed in flames, which had begun to spread rapidly throughout the room. Thanks to the swift actions of the firefighters, the fire was extinguished by 22:38.
The fire destroyed the electric scooter and household items over an area of about 3 square meters, but further spread of the flames was prevented, saving another electric scooter and the building. Four rescuers and one unit of special equipment were involved in extinguishing the flame.
Rescuers emphasize:
do not leave electric scooters, scooters, or other battery-powered equipment charging unattended; do not charge them in residential or utility areas near flammable materials; use only proper charging devices and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Adhering to these rules will help prevent fires and safeguard lives and property.
