A Space for IDPs Opened in Vuzlove

In the village of Vuzlove in the Sheptytskyi district, a communal space for leisure and events for internally displaced persons (IDPs) has been opened.

Present at the opening were the advisor to the head of Lviv Regional State Administration, head of the Coordination Center Halyna Bordiun, and representatives of the Sheptytskyi District State Administration. The project was implemented with the support of the NGO ‘Coordination Humanitarian Center’ and funded by the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF).

In the building, which until recently housed empty walls, a complete space for daily living has been created: laptops, a monoblock and projector with a screen, printers, a coffee machine, an electric kettle, fans, heaters, a vacuum cleaner, and other necessary appliances have been installed. The room has been designed with residents in mind and includes comfortable sofas, tables, chairs, and bookshelves.

‘We are sincerely grateful to every community for supporting people, as well as to the leaders of the MTI. Despite all the challenges, you do not lose the desire to help and continue to work for those who need it.’, said Halyna Bordiun.

In the MTI in the village of Vuzlove, 39 internally displaced persons currently reside. ‘Each of them feels real support. We sincerely thank the NGO ‘Bird of Ukraine’ and the Lviv OVA for their constant attention and help to people’, emphasized MTI head Halyna Parkhomyk.

Implementing this project is not a one-time initiative, but part of a consistent and systematic effort aimed at creating decent living conditions and successful integration of internally displaced persons in the Lviv region.
