A tragedy occurred on the water in the Stryi district, leading to the death of a man.
On August 12 at 14:34, a report was received about an incident in the village of Demnia. While swimming in the lake, a man dived into the water and did not resurface. The deceased was identified as a man born in 1958.
At 16:30, employees of the Lviv Central Rescue and Diving Service found and retrieved the man’s body to the shore. It was handed over to police officers.
Rescuers warn: when swimming, choose only equipped and safe places, do not swim far, do not dive in unfamiliar spots, and do not overestimate your abilities. Never consume alcohol while relaxing on the water.
