On August 1, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibus arrived from the Republic of Poland at the ‘Rava-Ruska – Hrebenne’ checkpoint.
The 42-year-old driver, a resident of Cherkasy region, chose the simplified customs control lane, the ‘green corridor’, thereby declaring the absence of goods that are subject to mandatory declaration or taxation.
However, during customs control, employees of the Lviv customs office discovered 600 units of dietary supplements PROSTA LISAN and NORMATON FORTE, as well as 300 packages of LIOSTRONG ointment in the luggage compartment. The approximate value of the seized goods is over 1.5 million hryvnias.
An administrative protocol has been drawn up for this case in accordance with part 3 of article 471 (Failure to declare goods (other than currency values) that are subject to legal prohibitions and/or restrictions on import into the customs territory of Ukraine or export out of this territory and transported by individuals) of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
