Equipment worth almost UAH 1.5 million found by border guards in two cars on the border with Poland
Both minibuses were heading to enter Ukraine via the “green corridor” lane through the Shehyni checkpoint.
At the Shehyni checkpoint, border guards of the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment together with customs officers, on the information of the detachment’s operational and investigative department, found 100 smartphones in the design features of a Renault car. 60 POCO and 40 REDMI mobile phones were in specially equipped caches – under the door lining, in the thresholds and floor. The goods were being transported for further sale in Ukraine.
The preliminary value of the detected goods is UAH 500 thousand. The vehicle and gadgets were seized according to the law.
At the same checkpoint, border guards found 500 hard drives. The goods were being transported in the luggage compartment of a Mercedes.
The value of the found goods is about one million hryvnias. The total value of the seized goods is almost UAH 1.5 million.
