According to the decision of the regional commission on technogenic and environmental safety, communities are recommended to limit external lighting of buildings.
During the weekly Tuesday meeting, First Deputy Mayor Dmytro Balko announced the need for a complete shutdown of light advertising and signs. “These requirements do not apply only to objects that operate on their own generators or batteries”, noted Balko.
He also appealed to local businesses to heed the recommendations.
