On Saturday, February 1st, specialists sent 38 dead swans for laboratory analysis to the Lviv Regional Laboratory. Samples of these birds’ biomaterials showed the presence of the bird flu virus, which was later confirmed after inspection.
Currently, according to data from the Sheptytsky District State Administration, active monitoring of the areas on the floodplains of the Western Bug River is underway. As of today, February 3rd, no additional cases of bird deaths have been registered, which may indicate the effectiveness of the implemented safety measures.
