Power outages in Lviv region possible even without direct attacks — Lvivoblenergo

Electricity supply in the Lviv region may be cut off even if there are no missile or drone strikes directly affecting the area. This was reported by a spokesperson for “Lvivoblenergo”.

According to the company representative, outages may be due to the overall situation in the national energy system. Even if the Lviv region’s infrastructure remains undamaged, significant destruction of energy facilities in other regions of Ukraine may require temporary shutdowns in Lviv to help balance the load.

Such actions are coordinated at the national level, and “Lvivoblenergo” acts on dispatcher instructions from the national energy company “Ukrenergo”.

The spokesperson emphasized:

  • Outages may occur even in the absence of a direct threat to the Lviv region.
  • The main goal is to maintain the stability of Ukraine’s energy system.
  • The blackout schedules depend on the level of electricity shortage across the country.
  • Relevant information will be promptly published on official platforms.

Residents of Lviv region are advised to keep power banks, flashlights, and mobile devices charged in case of unexpected outages.
