In Lviv, bus driver Petro Krochmalny temporarily let a stray dog into the cabin to keep it warm on a frosty day.
While on his route, the driver of the municipal APT №1 noticed the dog, which had independently entered the bus. He did not eject the animal but allowed it to stay inside until the next stop. The dog then left the vehicle on its own. “At the stop, the dog approached the door and raised its paw. I opened the door, it came in, and rode with me for a few stops,” recounted Petro Krochmalny.
It is known that the driver is a war veteran and returned to civilian life after an injury. The Lviv municipal APT №1 highlighted that their drivers support stray animals during winter.
The Lviv City Council has permitted cats and dogs into all administrative buildings during the cold spell. “The weather is forecasted to remain cold in the coming days, which is challenging for everyone,” stated Andriy Moskalenko.
