In the past day, firefighters in the Lviv region extinguished 28 fires on open areas.
The fire covered more than 1780 square meters of dry grass and shrubs. Along with the vegetation, all living creatures that inhabited these areas – from insects to small animals – were burned. Burning stubble is not only dangerous but also illegal. Flames in open areas can quickly spread to forests, houses, and farmsteads.
Remember:
- Do not burn dry grass.
- Do not leave campfires unattended.
- Teach children safety rules.
