
On August 24, the rescuers successfully halted a fire in Slavske, saving three buildings.
At 15:58, a report was received about a fire in a one-story wooden house with an attic in the village of Slavske, Stryi district. When the firefighters arrived at the scene, the roof of the house was already engulfed in flames over an area of 100 sq. m. The fire was rapidly spreading through the wooden structures and caused heavy smoke, so the rescuers had to work in respiratory and vision protection devices. There was a threat of the fire spreading to a nearby residential building and a summer kitchen.
At 16:54, the firefighters localized the fire and by 17:17, they had extinguished it. The rescuers managed to prevent the spread of the fire and save the buildings. Eight rescuers and two units of special equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. Fortunately, no one was injured. The cause of the fire is being determined by experts.
