Rapid Actions of Rescuers Prevented Destruction of Buildings in Sokilnyky
On March 7 at 13:47, the Rescue Service \”101\” received a report about a fire in the village of Sokilnyky, Lviv district.
Spread of Fire and Threat to Buildings
Upon arrival, rescuers found the woodshed completely engulfed in flames, and the fire had spread to the roof of the summer kitchen, with a threat of it spreading to the nearby residential building. The fire quickly spread through wooden structures, and strong winds complicated the operation for firefighters.
Fire Elimination
Thanks to the prompt actions of the firefighters, further spread of the fire was prevented. The fire was localized at 14:40 and extinguished at 14:45. The summer kitchen and residential building were saved. No one was injured in the fire. The operation involved 19 rescuers and 4 units of special equipment.
