
In the Sheptytsky district, professional firefighters along with the local fire team saved a residential house from a fire.
On January 27 at 01:06, the Rescue Service ‘101’ received a report of a fire in the village of Shchurovychi. The fire occurred in a brick utility building covered with slate, measuring 10 × 5 meters. Rescuers from the town of Lopatin and the local fire team from the village of Smorzhiv went to the scene.
By the time the firefighters arrived, the building was completely engulfed in flames, posing a threat of the fire spreading to neighboring buildings. By 02:02 the fire was localized, and by 03:16 it was extinguished, preventing the spread of fire to the nearby residential house.
The fire extinguishing involved 3 rescuers and 1 unit of special equipment from the State Emergency Service, as well as 2 personnel and 1 unit of special machinery from the local fire team.
