Firefighters Saved Homes from Fire in Stryi District

In Stryi district, firefighters extinguished a fire in an agricultural building and saved two residential houses.

On October 26 at 15:05, the Rescue Service “101” received a report of a fire in the village of Verkhnye Syn’ovydne, Stryi district. The fire started in a one-story wooden agricultural building, covered with slate, measuring 6×8 m. Rescuers from Skole and Stryi were dispatched to the scene.

By the time rescuers arrived, the building was engulfed in flames throughout its area, with a threat of the fire spreading to nearby residential houses. At 16:12, firefighters localized the fire and at 16:33 extinguished it. **Firefighters were able to prevent the spread of the fire and save two residential houses from the flames.**

Eight rescuers and 2 units of special equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. No one was injured in the fire. The causes and circumstances of the ignition are being established.
