On August 28, firefighters saved a garage and an outbuilding from being destroyed by fire in the Sheptytskyi district.
At 16:16, the Rescue Service received a report about a fire in a brick garage measuring 3×6 m in the village of Boyanets. Professional firefighters from the city of Velyki Mosty and members of the local fire team from Turynka village responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, the roof of the garage was on fire, and in the yard, a “Volkswagen Golf” car was ablaze, which the owners had managed to pull out from the building. By 16:34, firefighters had localized the fire and extinguished it by 16:44.
The firefighters managed to save the garage from complete destruction by fire and prevented the spread of flames to the nearby outbuilding. The fire extinguishing efforts involved 3 rescuers and 1 unit of special equipment from the State Emergency Service, as well as 1 worker and 1 piece of equipment from the local fire team.
