A Mirage-2000 fighter jet crashed during a training flight in Volyn.
On July 22, 2025, near the city of Lutsk, a Mirage-2000 fighter jet crashed during a training flight. Shortly after takeoff, the pilot reported a failure of electronic equipment. Thanks to professional actions, he managed to guide the plane to a deserted swampy area and ejected.
The aircraft crashed in an area without residential structures. There are no casualties or injuries on the ground. The pilot was quickly located by search and rescue services, and his condition is stable.
A comprehensive set of initial investigative and procedural actions is currently underway. Law enforcement agencies have already examined the crash site, seized official documentation, interviewed witnesses, and appointed experts. A service investigation has been initiated.
