Lviv City Council has introduced a new service – an electronic register of internally displaced persons. It is provided in the district administrations of the city and in 10 offices of the Lviv community.
All citizens of Ukraine who were forced to leave their homes due to the war and temporarily moved to Lviv are registered here. To do this, employees of district administrations or community offices should be shown a passport. And after registration – get a temporary certificate and registration card, which with the advent of the electronic register is formed automatically and remains in the database.
“Electronic registration is necessary for several reasons. First of all – for a general understanding of the number of people who came to Lviv. Such registration is also important for IDPs themselves, as they are issued temporary certificates with which they can apply to the social security department for certain social services. In addition, recently, with such a certificate, parents can give their children a routine vaccination, “- said in the department of the city agglomeration of the LMR.
The presence of such a register also facilitates the implementation of the order of the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration on the mandatory registration of conscripts. Men aged 18 to 60 who arrived at Lviv MTG are registered and sent with a detachable coupon to the Center for Work with Conscripts at 11 Veteraniv Street. The presence of such a coupon significantly speeds up the registration process, as personal data is already available. in the register. In addition, such registration is necessary for security purposes both for the IDPs themselves and for the communities where they will be temporarily located. In fact, a special electronic register was developed for this purpose. It is important to emphasize that the offices of the Lviv community and district administrations only register, consult and coordinate work with IDPs.
