In total, more than two dozen charitable organizations of the Lviv region received awards.
Today, June 27, the winners of the “Charity Lviv Region 2022” contest were awarded in Lviv.
For 16 years in a row, a competition has been held in Ukraine, which was founded by the All-Ukrainian charitable organization “Association of Philanthropists of Ukraine” with the aim of developing effective socially oriented philanthropy in Ukraine. The slogan of this year’s competition is “Charity in defense of Ukraine”.
As noted by the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi, 7 charitable organizations and philanthropists of our region became the winners of this year’s competition and 16 more received awards as laureates.
“It is very important to appreciate and thank for the daily work of those who help our defenders on the front lines and their families, forced migrants, all people in difficult life circumstances. Only the Ukrainian nation can unite like this in the name of truth and bright things and with faith in victory. Thank you to our benefactors and volunteers, who do deeds that testify to the most sincere humanity in the conditions of war. Only victory!” – stressed Maksym Kozytskyi.
Oleksandr Maksymchuk, president of the Association of Philanthropists of Ukraine, chairman of the organizing committee of the National Competition “Charity Ukraine”, said that this year’s competition, in addition to Lviv, is also taking place in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia.
“I am glad that despite the coronavirus and despite the great war, we are able to hold such competitions. This year, “Charity in defense of the Motherland” is the name of one of the nominations, which we introduced back in 2014, because we understand how many people then and now are working on our Victory. We received almost 1,500 applications from all over the country, but the largest number came from Lviv Oblast – about 80. They were grouped into 7 nominations, the winners of each of them are among us today. It is symbolic that this year, in addition to Lviv, this competition is also taking place in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia. We understand that a great responsibility rests on the shoulders of philanthropists and volunteers, and only together we will be able to rebuild our country,” noted Oleksandr Maksymchuk.
Charitable funds of the region received awards in seven nominations: “Regional Charity” – Charitable Fund “Caritas-Lviv UGCC”, “Charity in the Social Sphere” – “Spivdia” Charitable Fund, “Local Charity” – BF “Community Foundation “Ridnia”, “Collective volunteerism” – Volunteer community of Zavadiv Starostyn district (Turkiv city council), “Charity of Ukrainian business” – “Intellias”, “Charity in defense of Ukraine” – Ulyana Kuzyk charity fund and “Volunteer of the year” – Pylypets Tetyana.
They were also awarded with thanks for a worthy presentation and promotion of charity.
