In the maternity hospital of Lviv TMO №3 they told about childbirth in an emergency situation

The Lviv Territorial Medical Association №3 reported that today a forcibly displaced woman gave birth to a healthy boy in a maternity hospital by caesarean section. However, according to doctors, immediately after the operation, the mother and baby had to be taken to a shelter due to air alarm.

Doctors emphasize that given the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine and the aggressive shelling of the cities of our state, Lviv maternity hospitals are ready to work in emergency conditions. Today’s case is no exception.

“Today, a 31-year-old migrant woman gave birth to a healthy boy, weighing 3,250 grams and 50 cm tall, in the 40th week of pregnancy.

The woman underwent a caesarean section, but immediately after the operation, an air-raid siren began. As a result, the woman and the child were forced to go down to the shelter from the operating room. As of now, the mother and baby are feeling well, ”they say in Lviv TMO №3.

We will remind that in shelters of maternity hospital №1 on street Mechnikov, 8 and the maternity ward on the street. Rappoport, 8 is equipped with a maternity ward, operating room and post-intensive care unit for newborns.

Medical care for pregnant women, mothers and mothers-in-law is currently provided on a full-time basis, regardless of the place of registration.
