Passenger traffic traditionally increases at checkpoints in Lviv region before weekends. To avoid traffic jams and save time, we advise choosing the least crowded checkpoints and tracking current data on the official resources of the 7th Border Carpathian Detachment and Western Regional Administration of the State Border Guard of Ukraine – Western Border.
Since the beginning of September, over 2.9 million people have crossed the border in Lviv region in both directions. The greatest load is observed at the checkpoints of ‘Shehyni’ and ‘Krakivets’. There is a medium level of load at ‘Rava-Ruska’, ‘Ugryniv’ and ‘Hruszów’. The least load is traditionally observed at the ‘Smilnytsia’ and ‘Nyzhankovychi’ checkpoints.
The most favorable time for crossing is early morning hours or late evening hours when the load on the checkpoints is minimal. Currently, passenger traffic remains balanced: approximately 50-50 between those leaving and those returning.
