Yulia Svyridenko: Lviv region has become the largest hub of humanitarian support in Ukraine, receiving 51% of cargo with help from abroad

This was stated by Deputy Head of the Office of the President Yulia Sokolovska in a report on the work of the Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian and Social Affairs.

Thus, she noted that 270 thousand tons of rubber aid were imported to Ukraine, as well as food was purchased from Ukrainian producers and food kits for almost 12 million Ukrainians were completed.

Sokolovskaya informed that the information resource SpivDiya is processing applications from the hotline to meet the specific needs of citizens, and added that more than 48,000 applications have already been processed.

At the same time, she reminded that within the framework of the “Tell Me” program, people receive psychological assistance, as well as a web platform for effective collection and processing of information on human rights violations by the Russian Federation.

In turn, First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yulia Svyridenko stressed that on the western border with Poland, Hungary, Romania, Moldova and Slovakia, logistics centers were set up in the first week of the war, where international donors and partners send humanitarian aid.

She added that the Lviv region has become the largest hub of humanitarian support in Ukraine, receiving 51% of cargo from abroad.

Sviridenko also stressed that Ukraine pays special attention to the problem of fuel supply, and noted that since the first days of the war, the government has agreed with the Polish Reserve Agency to provide 20,000 tons of fuel in the form of humanitarian aid. At the same time, according to her, an agreement was reached with the largest networks of gas stations on its issuance through their gas stations to certain categories of recipients.

At the same time, Deputy Chief of Staff Kyrylo Tymoshenko explained that from humanitarian hubs located throughout the country, the cargo is distributed among regional military administrations, charities, local governments, NGOs and volunteers.

According to him, during the 50 days of the war, the whole country was united, and each non-frontline region helps the frontline region every day.

In addition, he reminded that with the help of the convenient platform help.gov.ua people from all over the world fill out questionnaires every day and send help to Ukraine.

Tymoshenko noted that a special logistics headquarters, which includes Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukrposhta and other carriers, is working at the Ministry of Infrastructure to resolve logistics issues.
