Climb Lviv City Hall Tower May 2–4 by Donating to the Reconstruction of the Shukhevych Museum

From May 2 to 4, during Lviv’s celebration of its 769th anniversary, visitors and residents will have a special opportunity to access the City Hall Tower without purchasing a standard ticket. Instead, entry will be granted in exchange for a charitable donation toward rebuilding the Roman Shukhevych Museum, destroyed by Russian shelling in 2024.

“This is a chance to unite locals and tourists around a meaningful cause — restoring the Roman Shukhevych Museum. The City Day weekend is the perfect time to invite as many people as possible to participate,” said Yevhen Boiko, Executive Officer of Lviv City Council.

All proceeds will go directly to the charitable account of the NGO “New Museum,” which manages the restoration project. A similar initiative in March, titled “Museum for Museum,” raised 185,000 UAH in just two days.

The restoration project has already passed expert review, and a public tender to select a construction contractor will be announced soon.

🔹 City Hall Tower Opening Hours:

  • Weekdays (starting May 1): 5:15 PM – 9:00 PM

  • Weekends: 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Access to the tower is available only with prior registration at the Tourist Information Center, located on the first floor of City Hall (left of the main entrance). Visitors must complete a short form and receive a pass for entry.

Organizers encourage everyone to take in the views of Lviv from above while also contributing to the preservation of Ukraine’s historical legacy.
