On the occasion of the professional holiday in Lviv region, 11 architects were honored, including officers of the Armed Forces

In the region, two days of a rich program of celebrating the Day of the Architect are planned: June 30 and July 1.

Today the celebrations took place in the Powder Tower, and tomorrow – in the Svirz Castle. Among the planned events: a discussion panel, two excursions, an artistic plein air, a sale of paintings for the needs of the Armed Forces.

Olena Vasylko, director of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Lviv State University, congratulated the architects on their professional holiday.

“We should not only remember and appreciate those who shaped Ukrainian architecture over the centuries, but also celebrate the efforts of modern architects: those who joined the armed forces and protect us on the front lines, those who try to help people who have lost their homes, and is engaged in the reconstruction of dormitories, designs modular towns, as well as those who work on rehabilitation centers, so that our military personnel, who were injured during combat missions, have even more opportunities to receive professional help – to regain their ability to work and live actively,” she said Olena Vasylko.

On the occasion of thanks from Lviv OVA and ENT, the following were noted:

Mark Savytskyi and Andriy Pelekh for the Superhumans Center rehabilitation clinic project;
Ostap Zelinskyi and Khrystyna Chornous for the UNBROKEN rehabilitation center project;
Taras Sulyk for the project of the Mother and Child Center “INDEMNIFIC MOTHERS” and temporary housing for IDPs;
Danyla Shvetsia for the flagpole for the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence;
Vitaly and Yuriy Kyrylyvych – architect brothers, soldiers of the Ground Forces;
Vasyl Senkiv – draftsman, soldier of the Armed Forces;
Dmytro Ganishniuk – architect, officer of the Armed Forces;
Elena Geba – architect, wife of the fallen soldier Mykola Geba.

At the same time, during the event, it was possible to view the exhibition of the Ukrainian Catholic University “Images of the collection. How Ivan Grechko searched for beauty”.
