With the arrival of summer, passenger traffic through Lviv region’s checkpoints has increased by 40%.
On weekends, the load increases even more, by an average of 16% compared to weekdays. As of now, the situation at the border is as follows: ‘Krakivets’ – 90 cars, ‘Shehyni’ – 75 cars, ‘Rava-Ruska’ – 50 cars, ‘Uhryniv’ – 50 cars, ‘Hrushiv’ – 30 cars, ‘Nyzhankovychi’ – 20 cars. ‘Smilnytsia’ operates without delays.
We recommend planning your trip in advance and, if possible, choosing less crowded checkpoints. Repair work is ongoing on the Ukrainian side of the ‘Shehyni’ checkpoint, temporarily reducing its capacity for both passenger and freight transport.
Border guards of the 7th Carpathian Border Troop have intensified their work, specifically increasing the number of border patrols during peak hours, deploying additional automated workplaces, and holding regular meetings with Polish colleagues to expedite border crossing for citizens.
