On November 1–2, the VIII All-Ukrainian National Choreography Competition named after the Hero of Ukraine Myroslav Vantukh took place in Lviv.
This event brought together the best ensembles from all over the country, becoming a celebration of Ukrainian folk dance. The Exemplary Dance Ensemble ‘New Stars’ from the Busk City People’s House, led by Maryana Tomashevska, participated in the competition. Young dancers aged 12–16 performed the compositions ‘Praise to the Heroes of the Land’ and ‘Ukrainian Festive,’ winning the II prize among ensembles from different cities of Ukraine.
The performance of ‘New Stars’ was highly praised by the jury, noting their performance skills and love for Ukrainian folk dance. ‘We sincerely congratulate the young talents and their leader on this honorable award!’ mentioned the organizers.
The transportation of the participants by the ‘Shkolyarik’ bus was provided by the Department of Education, Culture, Youth, and Sports of the Busk City Council. ‘New Stars’ are grateful to our brave defenders, thanks to whom they can live, learn, create, and develop their talents.
